Happy July, monarch butterfly!

Here is a picture of a Monarch butterfly that I took 2 days ago and was broadcast on Kobi5 NBC 5 News TV yesterday (watch it on YouTube). This wonderful creature was resting on fig tree leaves in Grants Pass, on June 29, 2022.

Happy to see a representant of this critically endangered pollinator species whose population has been drastically declining over the past decades.

Senator Berkeley of Oregon just added $1 million more to its protection this week (source: kdrv).
